This building used to use 65% rigid cells with a 4”pre filter. The initial static pressure was over .50” with the cell being replaced annually and the pleated pre filters every 6 months. Phil came in and presented Fiberbond Products to me and it made a lot of sense. The majority of the particulates in Southern California air is man created such as automotive exhaust and construction dust all of which are large particles, with regards to micron size, nothing in comparison to something like a microorganism. ASHRAE suggests a minimal rating of MERV 9 air filters for general air applications, the Fiberbond MERV 9 Dustlok Cubes w/Spor-Ax ended up being the perfect product for us.
