Poly Shield XI 3-Ply MERV 11 Panel & Links

Rated at 500 FPM (2000 CFM) with an initial static pressure drop of .38” w.g. comparable to pleated filters only without all their costly flaws.

  • Conventional Filter

IT DOESN’T MATTER WHO YOU PURCHASE PLEATED FILTERS FROM BECAUSE ALL FILTER COMPANIES PURCHASE THE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THEIR PRODUCTS IN BULK FROM THE SAME SOURCES, USUALLY FROM THE LOWEST BIDDER, AND SIMPLY ASSEMBLE FILTERS.  THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL ON THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF AN AIR FILTER; THE MEDIA

These products and their technology were first introduced into the industry more than 20 years ago.  Throughout the years nothing about them has changed even though our environment has.  Using these products increases your operation costs in many key areas and compromise your indoor air quality

  • IT’S NOT JUST THE MATERIALS USED FOR THEIR ASSEMBLY, IT’S THE WAY THEY’RE DESIGNED
They’re vulnerable to high air volume often collapsing shortly after installation exposing critical mechanical equipment to unfiltered air.  They are notorious for presenting significant gaps and air bypass.  Both around or between filters bypass realistically turns a MERV 8 filter to a MERV 6 filter.  They’re vulnerable to moisture, an element commonly found within all HVAC systems.  They are also susceptible to molds and spores.

  • CONTAMINATION - A scenario which significantly increases material, labor, disposal and energy costs.
If the initial cost of pleated filters would reflect the costs associated with having to deal with system contamination, the cost of a $3 filter is actually significantly higher.  Factor in increased energy usage and clean up costs and you’ll find the actual cost to be immeasurable

    • Energy Conservation

    • Reduced labor & material costs

    • Keeps coils, ductwork and other vital mechanical equipment clean throughout operation

    • A clean system allows for peak performance throughout operation and prolongs service life

    • Keeping an HVAC system free of debris eliminates a food source for microbes

    • Enhances indoor air quality

    • Reduces IAQ liabilities

    • Eliminates gaps & bypass

    • Proven unmatched durability

    • Unaffected by Moisture

    • Spor-Ax® Biocide Anti-microbial

    • Dustlok Adhesive®

    • Longer Lasting

    • Decreases labor intensity

  • A simple test anybody can do

Take a 3 and a 4 ply panel from any of our competitors and take a Fiberbond Dustlok 3-ply panel w/Spor-Ax. Get several packets of sugar and pour them into the air intake side of each filter. You’ll see that almost all of the sugar grains will pass through our competitor’s products. You’ll also notice that not a single grain will pass through our Dustlok Panel. Sugar grains on average are anywhere from 200-300 microns. MERV 8 filters should be 100% effective on particles 200-300 microns.

Do you still think all air filters are alike?

  • DON'T BE MISLED BY OUR COMPETITORS WHEN THEY MAKE THE OUTRAGEOUS CLAIM THAT THEIR PRODUCTS ARE COMPATIBLE TO FIBERBOND PRODUCTS, THE ONLY SIMILARITY THEY SHARE IS APPEARANCE

Filter media- Our competitors purchase their filtration media in bulk from the lowest bidder and simply assemble product. It is well known that over the years this bid process has compromised the quality of filter media resulting in inadequate product performance which significantly increases the operation costs of end users.  Anti-microbial- Our competitors rely on a biostat deemed ineffective by ASHRAE.  It is applied on finished products via aerosol. It is a post application product.  Adhesive- Our competitors use a pressure sensitive tack. As dirt particles adhere to the tack surface, the pressure sensitive tack loses its effectiveness. Scotch tape is a good example, once the tack has been compromised, its usefulness is gone. This is exactly how our competitors adhesive works, once a layer of dirt has developed on the layer which the adhesive has been sprayed on, it loses its effectiveness. It is a post application product.

How do these methods differ compared to how Fiberbond Corporation does things?

Despite our competitors false claims Dustlok adhesive does not migrate.  Filter media-Fiberbond Corporation designs and manufactures its filtration media in-house, they have direct quality control on every item they produce from fiber to finished product.  Anti-microbial-Fiberbond Corporation uses the only biostat in the industry called Spor-Ax. Deemed by ASHRAE to be the most effective agent in the market, Spor-Ax is applied on each individual fiber of the final layer of media during the mending of fibers making it a permanent part of the filter media.  Adhesive-Dustlok is an aggressive wet adhesive. Performance is from its ability to absorb dirt particles and wet out, renewing its adhesive surface. Dustlok re-activates throughout its service life. Like Spor-Ax, Dustlok is applied on each individual fiber of the final layer of media during the mending of fibers.  Spor-Ax & Dustlok are not post application products
