Filter media- Our competitors purchase their filtration media in bulk from the lowest bidder and simply assemble product. Adhesive-Dustlok is an aggressive wet adhesive. Performance is from its ability to absorb dirt particles and wet out, renewing its adhesive surface. Dustlok re-activates throughout its service life. A simple test anybody can do:
Take a 3 and 4 ply panel from any of our competitors and take a Fiberbond Dustlok 3-ply panel w/Spor-Ax. Get several packets of sugar and pour them into the air intake side of each filter. You’ll see that almost all of the sugar grains will pass through our competitor’s products. You’ll also notice that not a single grain will pass through our Dustlok Panel. Fiberbond Dustlok Adhesive
In 1977 Fiberbond introduced Dustlok ® The first high performance, dual density media. The uniqueness of this media was and continues to be the proprietary chemical binder system that enables the adhesive coating of the downstream fibers during manufacturing of the media. For 21 years this unique manufacturing process has provided our industry with cleaner air and helped keep clean the vital mechanical components of an air handling system.
As the only manufacturer of DUAL-PLY DUSTLOK we have complete control of our fiber blending, binder mixing and web formation. When the binder is sprayed into the fiber web it contains the latex binder, flame retardant, Dustlok, Spor-Ax Antimicrobial and orange color. One binder system, baked into the media during the curing cycle…no migration.
To prove DUSTLOK works and does not migrate we test our products in-house and at independent laboratories. Our ASHRAE 52.2 test, dated October 15th 1997 is an example. 84 sets of fractional efficiency data were documented and NO WHERE is there a drop off in performance.
The simple fact is that DUSTLOK ADHESIVE does not migrate. The latest ASHRAE testing shows only an increase in performance. Not one point out of 84 showed any drop off from migration.
